Big win!

Wow, sorry there's no post game response yet. I spent Thursday night celebrating and was super busy today. I finally have a minute, and will update this in more detail tomorrow.

What can you say about Thursday's win? It was monumental for this program. To be able to win at home in front of your fans vs one of your biggest rivals is no small feat.

The defense played absolutely phenomenal. I give all the credit in the world to Bill Young. He used his game plan from last year's Orange Bowl and it worked once again. A big part of the success was due to the defensive line. Marcus Robinson, Marcus Forston, Allen Bailey, Joe Joseph, and Dwayne Hendricks all played great games. Marcus Robinson appeared unblockable for a stretch of about 3 possessions and everybody knew it was just a matter of time before Allen Bailey got to Taylor.

Taylor is one slippery player, I tell ya. Canes had some trouble wrapping him up. He's going to be great and you'd think he'd be a 4 year guy because of his size. Bad news for us.

Bud Foster had a great game plan, and I was actually pleased with Nix for the first 2 1/2 quarters of the game, but he took his foot off the gas once again and it almost cost us.

The red zone woes are partly to blame on the offense as well, though. It seemed as if the line got no push outside of JJ's touchdown run. However, what really pissed me off was when you could tell we were trying to kill clock and we ran a QB draw...... on 2nd down.... You are only supposed to run those when they are expecting pass...

I'll be honest, I was nervous once they got the ball back with plenty of time but the defense bailed out the team once more. I haven't seen a Cane defense play this well in a long time.

Bed time now, but GO MARYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!! FEAR THE TURTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone better root for them to beat North Carolina this weekend!
